Superman has always been a pop culture icon, especially Christopher Reeve's classic movie incarnation. The challenge was to create a packaging design that instantly appeals to all classic Superman fan without looking cliché.
The design concept is to embrace the classic "S" logo's but reinvent how this "icon" is presented.
The packaging design literally took the diamond form of the logo, which is a actually cutting out a corner from a square. The cut-out part is a foldable and can be used as a support stand to make the packaging a prominent display on the shelves.
